I have been getting random reboots and ran verifier.exe on my XP installation
(service pack 1). At startup, I got the BSOD and this error message:
IO system verification error in serscan.sys
WDM driver error 21F
[serscan.sys+e80 at F005BE80]
So, I assume that this driver is my problem child? From what I gather, this
driver deals with still images via serial bus. The WDM part seems to
indicate that it may be specific to my smart card combo drive.
What do I do now? Do a detect and repair on XP? Reinstall that
serscan.sys?
Please help!

History: had serious problems with system freezes and did a full wipe and
reinstall of XP two weeks ago. Use Norton AV 2005. Have not installed SP2.
The random reboot is a new problem that just started 4 days ago. System is
only 9 months old, power supply and CPU recenty replaced (custom build).
