My Buslink USB 2.0 external hard drive is not recognised properly by my
system running Windows XP Home. I can access it using Disk Management and
assign it a drive letter but it is not shown by My Computer or Windows
Explorer. Any ideas?

George,

did you ever find a solution? I'm seeing a similar issue with my USB
pen drive and my cd-rom drives aren't updated on eject of a cd-rom.

I found the cause. I'd selected to have Windows Explorer to launch
each folder in a separate process, after I unchecked it, everything is
working just fine.
