Drive not recognize by OS

Hi, I have a 120GB hard disk that is partition into C, D, E, and F. All this
while, all drive working fine but suddenly F drive is no longer recognized by
XP. Whenever I click F drive, it prompt me to format. But I have quite a
number of data in it.

What could be the cause of it? How to resolve it?

is a NTFS or Fat32 ?
remember: if you have a burner cd/dvd or any usb device try to save the data
first

it's FAT32, XP SP2. Can't save as can read the drive at all.
