I know the drive is full. It was my intention to fill it up.
I only want to read from the drive. How do I make XP quit telling me
to clean up the drive every ten min?

That says, "When free disk reaches 50 MB, you receive the following
message..."

I remember when 50 MB was a very large disk.

I do too, but it's a tiny amount now. I just bought a 250GB drive for $60
US. At that price, 50MB is just over a penny's worth.

My first was 20MB, and IIRC took up what would be 4 hd full-width bays these
days. I don't *think* I'm that much older, but my body keeps telling me so.
