Drive, Directory and File Navigation

I have a colleague running XP SP2, and when he uses My Computer to attempt to
navigate around his drives etc, rather than getting a drive listing he
automatically enters the Windows Search facility (with the 'cute' little
dog). None of our other computers do this, but we can't find the setting
that must be wrong.

Any suggestions?

Thanks Alan. I suspected it was something to do with Search Companion, but
can't find a way of de-installing it. Any idea?

Go to Start/Run and type in: regsvr32 /i shell32

The two urls I gave you should fix your problem, though I would try
Kelly's simple method first.
