I did go to the sound prop box and tried to turn off all
sounds completely. That didn't work. It seems though
the "drip" sound is only playing when I go to something
on a site or if I use the back button, but only about 75%
of the time. I looked in the box for the drip sound and
would have dleted it there but can't find it.
Thanks, Marc

control panel \ sounds \ scroll down to navigation
Check to confirm that this is the "drip". Change to no sound.
Apply.

Hi, yes I did that 1st, didn't do anything, now I have
No Sound for everything but it still does the da "drip" I
don't see anything that says navigation. When I logged
off thinking it needed to reset itself I still got music.
So the no sound isn't even working I guess. Thanks
Maureen for trying, I'm going for the baseball bat!

Navigation is far down the list. I find that my sounds sometimes come
back, unbidden. If you have "no sound" designated, I guess be sure to
click "apply".

I recall that a few years ago there was a Microsoft Win9x powertoys
collection that included an option for a popcorn-type sound associated
with navigation which might be your drip. Really annoying. Can't
recall if it was turned off via the sound listings, though, just that
I got rid of it FAST.
