Downsize Outlook

My outlook is 2.5G in size and I would like to downsize it. I have upgraded
to Outlook 2003 SP1, which I believe allows the .pst file size to be
unlimited, but it's taking up space on my HD.

I've deleted hundreds of messages, but the size does not change. In fact, I
imported an archive file of 2Mg and the size did not change.

Help.

After deleting messages, you must compact your .pst file before any change
in size will happen.
