downloads

I have a new computer and I am trying to download
updates. It will go through the process of downloading
but it will stall at the very end so it never installs the
download. Any ideas?
 
I had the same problem. But in this newsgroup, look up
the message "re: Windows XP Service Pack 1 (Express)"
from Mac. on 9/18, 9 a.m. I followed the directions given
in the reply from Nicholas and managed to install my
downloads. Good luck.
