Downloading Windows Vista

Don't know, Don't Care.

There is a lot of software I do not mind buying/downloading from third party
sites (okay - actually - very little falls into that. I'd rather get it
directly from the manufacturer's site *if* I have to download it as opposed
to getting an actual installation CD) - my operating system is *not* one I
plan on downloading from any place other than some place I created the ISO
and placed it for my own use and/or Microsoft (those who created it.)

Also - did you ORDER Vista from said site?
If not - why would you think you got some free copy?
Have you even ordered it at all?
 
Beware the Ides of March or should I say the Ides of January?

No I did not order it but I thought that the site might give me more
information about Vista. I was obviously wrong to think that it was a
legitimate site. At least I did not open it

Nope. You can always check whois to see who owns the domain. On any
operating system other than Windows, open a command prompt and type "whois
<domain name>" and you'll get the ownership info for that domain.
