I just got back from a Excel workshop and wanted to
download some templates. But they all are in greek. How do
I get the wonderful templates that my instructor raved
about in English?

Some links to templates:
http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/template.htm#related

Some templates were installed when you installed Excel or Office
Windows Start, New Office Document, spreadsheet (tab),..
[actually they may not have been installed even though you see them
have your Office CD ready].

---Thanks, I knew about the already loaded templates. I
am trying to download more templates by going into Excel,
then under Help selecting Microsoft on the web, free stuff
then selecting templates on that web page. Can you help me
with that?

I don't know how far you got -- start here then browse templates
or use search and include at least the word Excel
Microsoft Office Templates Home Page
http://office.microsoft.com/templates

One large category is teaching include k1-12 in search
Another large category is invoices include invoice in search

I have downloaded the templates. They are saved as
cabinets and when I open it a "text import wizard comes up
that says that my data is Delimited and to choose the file
type that best describes my data. I choose delimited, hit
next, on step 2 I keep the delimiters as the default-tab,
hit next, step 3 I keep the column data format as general
and hit finish. The file opens with symbols not english.
Does any of this help?

You have to install .cab files in some manner. That is the form
they exist on the CD and are copied to your system to install later
if not installed at installation time. I'm not sure what you do with
them but they are installation files.
