I've downloaded several stationaries from the Window's site. It's taken me
forever to find where Vista downloaded them. Why can't I choose where the
files are downloaded? It gave me no option to do this.

If you use IE7, it does give you a chance to select the destination.
By default I think it goes to C:\Users\(youraccount)\Downloads
When the "Save As" box opens, the path is shown at the top. If you wish to
select another location, click on "Browse Folders" at the bottom left, and
navigate to wherever you want the files to go. After you select a new
location, it should be the default location the next time you download a
file.

Hi Dave,

I replied to this message on 3/5 and have not heard from anyone. Maybe you
can help me.

You wrote this response to me:

:

When you go to
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/stationerydl.mspx
and download & install it, it is located at
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Stationery
this stationery was designed for XP Outlook Express, so the install program
doesn't know about Windows Mail.

The stationery for Windows Mail is located at
C:\Users\(youraccount)\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail\Stationery

go to the first location, and copy or move the Flowers folder to the second
location

Then I wrote back to you and this is the one that I'm still waiting for the
reply:

Hi Dave,

This has been really helpful but as you probably already guessed, I am not
too computer litrerate. I followed your directions and everything is ok up
until the last step. After I cc the folder (flowers) from the first
location, how do I paste or get it into the second location (where all the
other stationery for my windows mail is located)?????

Click to show or hide original message or reply text.

Use the normal Windows methods... either drag & drop, or copy & paste

Go to the first location, click on a folder, like Flowers, press Ctrl-C
(copy)
Go to the second location, and press Ctrl-V (Paste)

Hi Dave,

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You !!! I don't know why I didn't think of that
I feel so dumb. I should have known that.

Thanks Again And Have A Great Day!!
