downloading sp2 display problems

after installing sp2 my display settings wont work i can barely see the
screen. when trying to fix the problem, the pc freezes up and i have to
format the drive, I cant even get to system restore.

Go into safe mode, uninstall SP2, reboot, go get the latest video card
driver for your system from the hardware manufacturer's web site - install
it - and reinstall SP2.
