For Win XP the start date is Aug 25th. to joint the HOME
pool,
For home it is wait your turn and it will take 2-10 days
depending on you connection speed and connect time.

Many are getting the update thru AWU.

There is no faster way for dial up until you order a SP2
CD. That will be over a month.

We have a couple of users with authenticated installations of XP Home/Pro.
They have dial-up connections (I know!). Can these users download XP
Home/Pro, using the link below, from the office (T1 lines), and take their
downloads home and install SP2 that way? My question is looking more at
the
installation issues that could arrise if the update is not done directly
from
the Update website, or via an ordered CD..

Download the full installation package and burn to CD or order the SP2 CD
for the cost of shipping.

Yes, they can. No issues will arise for such a reason.
