downloading mcafee

help. Im trying to download mcafee, but it says cannot find windows
installer, or im running in safe mode.

McAfee works well for me and always has.. perhaps you could furnish me with
a list pf problems where McAfee has been the culprit.. nothing like being
ready for imminent failure after years of using it..
 
I wish I could give you a list but it has been a while since I've used it.
Recently a friend in Spain was having trouble with her install of McAfee.
She couldn't install the latest version of ZoneAlarm because of a conflict
with McAfee. She didn't care to install some other firewall because she
knows ZoneAlarm and it works very well for her. So she chose to ditch
McAfee and get NAV instead. After doing this she had no problem with
ZoneAlarm after doing this. The best I can remember from my experience
with McAfee years ago was that it kept crashing Windows (95 or 98). When I
got rid of it I had no more problems. It is not specific but I've heard
others gripe about McAfee too. I haven't heard anyone complain about NAV.
