Okay, suppose I have a web, or FTP, site of eg. 1 GB. I download the
site this week. Next week files have been added and it is now 1.1 GB.

How do I download ONLY the 100 MB ?

Please note that I do NOT particularly want to mirror the site. So if
a good file was on the server in week one, and not in week two, I
wouldn't want the copy on my HDD to be deleted. Even though the
original is no longer on the server.

In other words I just want to download new/altered files. Nothing
I have downloaded before.

What program(s) could do this please and what steps would be
required ? TIA.

Regards, John.

Might be worth looking through GNU's wget[1] utility to try this - the
recursive downloading and "no clobber" options should sort you out.
