downloading JPegs

Until today I had no problems saving Jpegs etc. fro
webpages and Yahoo groups.
Now, however, when I try to save all files are being
saved as Bitmap-with no choice.
Any ideas on what may have hapened and how can I correct?

Clean your Temporary Internet Files (Folder) (Tools=>Internet Options -
General Tab).
If still no joy then have a look at this page for other issues.

This is the exact same problem I've been having.
Thanks Rob for your advice.
I tried cleaning out the Temporary Files folder but the
browser froze. I'll see what happens. Thanks so much.
