Downloading/Installing

Can a user with no administrative rights be prevented from
downloading/instaling programs?

I don't want other users to be able to download/install
programs. Can it be done?

It needs to be mentioned perhaps that the Group policy facilities used
in this are in XP Pro, but not in XP Home edition

Here's how.

1. Click Start, Run..., and type "control userpasswords2" without the
quotes.
2. Click a user's name.
3. Click Properties, then the Group Membership tab.
4. Set the membership to Restricted user.
