I recently downloaded the latest Windows updates and now I
can't boot my computer.

It's a few year old Toshiba 7000CT laptop running Windows
2000 Professional, 133 MHz Intel Pentium II, 32kb primary
memory cache 512kb secondary memory cache, 96 MB installed
memory, 4.33GB on drive C with 1.3MB free.

When I try to boot, it won't let me - not even in safe
mode - saying my registry size needs to be increased. How
do I do that if I can't boot the computer?

There are several programs and files I could delete to
make room but I can't boot the PC - any advice?

Thanks,

Gerrit

I would suggest making a freeware BartPE CD that will boot your machine
from the CD and enable you to make changes to your hard drive --
including backing it up over the network in case you want to
reimage/reinstall Windows from scratch.
