Hey guys first time post so be gentle.
Set up a wireless network at home with Linksys product. I
downloaded the latest updates for XP Pro and now I can't
get on the web. The laptop tells me I'm receivng a signal
to the router but I'm not able to get access. I tried
using a direct hook up from the cable modem to the laptop
and same thing happens. How do undo the latest updates or
overcome this situation??
Thanks
Gus

Which Linksys product are you using? The router comes
with a disk that does a really good job of setting
everything up. The problem is not with XP but with how
the Linksys handles the PC.

I have a cable modem to COX. My PC attaches just fine
with all of the COX defaults. Really the only one is the
computer name. I placed the router after the modem so I
can use multipule computers. My wireless laptop would
not connect. I ran the disk that came with Linksys and
it all works just fine. Seems it uses NAT for an ip
number system.

I'm using the WLS G products. I had this mother up and
running until I processed the lastes XP down loads. Then
nothing. I can't even get on line if I hook my modem up
directly to the laptop. It must have made some kind of
change to explore or something, but the poor Linksys tech
support girl was on the phone with me for over and hour
trying to get it to work. Any ideas how to undo the
latest down load?
