I have a photoshop elements trial downloaded on PC but
when I go to unzip it, (I have both WinZip and Stuffit on
com), it shows that Winzip extractor is a
vctivating, but then I get message that the download
program can't be installed because it needs to know the
program that created it. I've been directed to a site
(Aladdin) where Stuffit is, but I alread have both of
those unzip utilities. How do I know what program
created it. I've always had WinZip do the
job on my WIN 98 without all this static. It almost
appears that XP has reluctance to install some software.
If I had 98 also on my PC, would it automatically
handle the install if XP can't. (I think it's superior
in it's
attributes.

It is a really nice program, you'll like it. It is cheaper
to buy a retail CD at a store when it's on sale than to buy
on-line from Adobe (just a hint).

You should ask Adobe customer support about your problem.

It is a great program at $100 and you can find it for about
1/2 that on sale if you look, check Best Buy, CompUSA, etc.
Also www.pricewatch.com

It isn't the zip program that is causing the problem it is
the installer program.
