download problem

I cannot download from any site after uninstalling
Quicktime from my PC. Error message says "There is now
viewer available for the type of object I am trying to
open." and points me to the Microsoft ActiveX controls
page.

How do I fix this problem when I can't download? We do
have a second computer in the house I could download to)

Start by finding a site on Internet Explorer or better Quicktime instead of
an ActiveDirectory newsgroup.

You might also try using programs like Media Player (or other file viewers)
to RESET control of the file types that Quicktime LIKE to HIJACK.

Mostly these are media files, movies, sounds, etc.
