Download & Install HijackThis.

I need to download HijackThis so I can get help removing items from the
registry files. The instructions I have is to download & install into a
folder on the desk top which I need to create. How do I create a folder on
the desktop and is this the correct place to put it? Thank you.

Right-click in a blank part of the desktop, and choose New > Folder.

As to whether or not the desktop is the right place to put it, its as good
as place as any, and (please don't take this the wrong way) if you need help
with creating folders then I'd suggest sticking to the instructions you have
as closely as possible to avoid further problems.

I agree. HiJackThis is a very powerful tool, but in the wrong hands you can
really mess up your computer. Be Careful!
