I find that the download finishs at 2GB when I download rather large iso
files such as Visual Studio Express / Linux.
What's going on?

If you're downloading to an external drive, or a drive formatted with FAT32,
that will be the maximum allowed download size by FAT32. Save files to an
NTFS formatted drive.

My Vista is NTFS.

Uh, the max. file size under FAT32 is ~4GB. The max. file size under
FAT16 is ~2GB. And, for the sake of completeness, the max. file size
under FAT12 is ~16MB.

Just how and what are you using for the download? It almost sounds like
something is using a signed 32-bit integer, which has a range of +/-2G.
It could even the the server you are downloading from, or your ISP
limiting you.

I don't want to use 3rd party softwares.

then I guess you will be stuck with the problem...

Hope you get used to it
