Douments close unexpectaely when maximizing

Word, Small Business Edition 2003-When I minimize a document (or documents)
and then go to maximize it, it may open once be when I do the same thing
again, i.e. minimize and go to maximize using either the mouse or right click
option-all documents immedialtely close. I've tried the repair function the
office 2003 disk, but it does not solve the problem.
