Double emails..

BigBlueMan

A co-worker is getting two of every email. The first will come in, then the
second exact one about a minute later with the same time on it.

Any ideas why?

Are you connecting to an Exchange Server? What version of Outlook?
 
I have a similar problem w/a cou;le of senders.It happened with both Outlook
XP and
Outlook 2003 (my current version). When I get my mail directly from my ISP's
web access, there is
only one email from the sender

Try this - close Outlook and then use the indows Find tool to search for a
file on your system named <profilename>.srs where <profilename> is the name
of your Outlook profile. Rename or delete this file, then restart Outlook.

....any better?

Can you turn on diagnostic logging (see
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q300479) and post
the OPMLog.log file after this happens?

I think this is related to the fact that you have two accounts trying to
download simultaneously and they end up fighting for control of the place
where Outlook keeps the information as to what has been downloaded. As a
result, the fact that one account has downloaded the two messages ends up
being forgotten. Most people do not have problems with multiple accounts,
but it appears that the stars align wrong for some (like you). There is a
fix for this in Outlook 2002 SP-3 (which will be released early next year)
and the fix was also incorporated in Outlook 2003.
