I set up Outlook Express yesterday. Five minutes later, I realized that what
I really wanted was Outlook so I changed over to that. Now I'm getting
duplicates of all emails.

I also have McAfee so I'm wondering if that is affecting it as well.
Yesterday I got single emails. This morning I woke up to doubles.

Duplicates in one program, or one copy in Outlook and one in Outlook
Express?

I don't know -- the duplicate emails stopped as mysteriously as they started.
Now Outlook isn't automatically taking the emails from my web server and
dumping them into Outlook. Every time I go in, I have to hit "Send/Receive".
I'm frustrated right now with the whole Outlook program -- web-based mail was
a lot simpler.

If you don't know where the "duplicates" were, how can you say there even
were any?

Outlook doesn't take mail from a web server. It takes them from a mail
server. Web servers present web pages. Mail servers present mail. If you
want Outlook to automatically poll your mail server every so often, press
CTRL-ALT-S and define a value in the "Schedule an automatic send/receive
every" box. Make it no less than ten minutes, though.

With the whole program or just the email portion of it? If you don't need
the other functionality Outlook provides, then stick to the mail program you
like best.
