I have 2 different e-mail addresses. But it does not matter which e-mail
address gets the mail it shows up twice. It worked fine for about two weeks
after the computer was new then just started doing this and no changes were
made to the accounts.
Mine does that occasionally, if one email (for some reason) gets stuck at
the server level. In that case, another attempt to down load causes a
re-download of the others. I go on the server, deal with the problem one,
and it's fine.
Deleted both E-mail accounts and then reset them up and everything is working
fine now. Ended up with 76 new e-mails for the 1 account. Evidently it was
doubling the e-mails from one account and not showing any of the other
account. Thanks for your help.
I am also getting two identical copies of the same e-mail in my inbox. I
have two e-mail accounts but one of them is assigned as a default. How do I
correct these duplicates?
After checking my two e-mail accounts I noticed that both had the option
checked for "Include this account when receiving mail or synchronizing." I
unchecked the e-mail account that was not set as the default. Then, I tested
this by sending and e-mail to myself and the issue appears to be resolved. I
hope this will assist others who may try this to repair the dupicate incoming
e-mail issue.
