Double Copies of Incoming E Mail

I have a new computer and have set up Windows Mail in the last couple of
days. Earthlink is my e-mail provider.

The messages received today all came twice on the Windows Mail Incoming Mail
page. I went on the web and checked Earthlink's web mail, and found the
messages there were only single copies. Has anyone had/solved this problem.
It did not seem to be occuring yesterday when I set Windows Mail up.

That often means that you have set up two email accounts under Windows Mail
to download mail from either the same account on the server or from two
accounts
which are aliases on the server. Check for this. If you set up the same
account
twice under Windows Mail, delete one of them.
 
Go to Tools, Accounts. Make sure you haven't inadvertently set up
a duplicate of your mail account. Any duplicate accounts should be
deleted.
