No matter how I attempt to open my media player, the program will simply not start up. The hourglass shows-up, then disappears with out any other kind of response from the program.

Gabriel

I'm having a similar problem but with Netscape. Near as I've figured thus far is that we've got a problem with what's called 'file attributes' in the computer science world. WinXP calls it 'Security & Sharing'. Basically, you don't have permission to run the program!! I have WinXP Home Ed. and I seem to be out of luck. If you have the Prof. Ed. then you might be able to fix it. My understanding is that, depending on the exact source of this restriction, there are ways to fix this using the control panel. Under ADD/Remove programs there's a 'set program access and defaults' choice. Or, see if you're logon name has administrators privs unde 'users' in the Control Panel.

That's all I can tell you so far. I'm still working on it. Lemme no if u need more hlp

jbnugget ;)
