I have a computer running Windows XP with Access 2007.

When using Access on this computer I have to double click very quickly in
order to open a table or query or whatever. When I say I have to double
click VERY FAST I mean VERY FAST to get the item to open.

I do not have to do this with any other Office 2007 program and I do not
have to do it on other computers running Office/Access 20007.

Any thoughts?

Try Start... Control Panel... Mouse, and find the doubleclick setting
(different mice have different ways of setting this). It's an adjustable
setting.

What John is trying to say (I think) is that the double-click speed is
a system-wide setting, not one where Access or some other apps are
faster or slower than others. You may perceive it that way, but it
ain't so.
