double click on connectors in flow chart to add text

Unable to double click on connectors in flow chart presentation to add text
to the connectors... have done this in the past... am using new install of
Office 2003.

Are you trying to do this in the org chart applet thing?

What I'm asking is if this is happening on a connector you drew on the
slide, or if it's a connector in an org chart.

Actually, it may not matter. When I double-click a connector, I don't have
any option to add text. Where did you have this option in the past?

Maybe we're tripping on semantics here, though. What exactly do you mean by
"connector"?
