for some reason, instead of a file just opening to reveal the other files
within it, i'm instead getting the 'open with' which program dialog box when
i double click on a file folder in windows explorer.

any idea on what i changed and/or how i can fix it?
getting tired of choosing open from the list of actions when i'm browsing
around my files in there!

thanks!

and? file folder is already there... w/o "open" as any action... am i
supposed to add another?

hi, thanks for trying, but it's not fixed the problem. i downloaded and
unzipped and activated the reg fix for 'file folders', but unfortunately,
it's still not opening with a double click. there is also still no 'open'
command available in control panel in the folder options for file folders, so
i can't make it the default.

any thoughts?

What file type is it?

Can you select the correct app to open the file using the "Change" button?
or "Customize"?

Apply both these fixes:

Directory association fix:

See Ramesh's reply and check directory association with associated fix?

If no good? I'd say restore?
