my bootable cd is about 6-7MB and i would like to convert it to
bootable VFD (possibly self-execute virtual floppy disk with reboot
option)
after a research, i know how to create self-extract executable exe
file from a regular VFD ( 1.44 - 2.88M)
now, i'm stuck because the cd is over 2.88M
Any suggestions would be really appreciated!
Many Thanks

Can you split your files, into two sets ? Like one set of
files, used to boot. And the remaining files, utilities
ant the like, in the other portion ?

See the recipe and comments here. Near the bottom, it
mentions the CD may be visible, as A: and F: , at the
same time. A: is the 2.88MB section. F: is the rest.

Hi paul,

thank you for rely!

the whole idea is that user can just click on one exe file
it reboot machine and use bootable image inside it to boot up system.
i have done this by symantac boot editer, but that is for virtual
floppy only

Make a custom image size of 7.2 MB.

I don't understand what you mean by a bootable virtual floppy.
A virtual floppy lives in RAM and will be destroyed on restart.
Please give me a link to a tutorial or something, thanks.

I build custom boot CD's all the time, just tell me what your trying
to accomplish and I might be able to help.
