When I typed Netstast to check port opening , following 4 states were
recorded:

Listening
Time_wait
Syn_sent
Established

You may find the following web page informative. It explains and
illustrates what the netstat command reports ("state of TDI
transport addresses and connection endpoints...")

You may find the following Sysinternals program named "TCPView"
useful. It is an application with a GUI interface that shows you
a detailed listings of all TCP and UDP endpoints on your system,
including the local and remote addresses, the state of the
connections, the name of the process that owns each endpoint,
etc.
