The command line in Vista,XP and 2000 is not DOS like in the past with a
full version of DOS. There are just some commands, that you can use. If you
type yourcommand /help or /? you get an overview of the syntax.

On the Microsoft newsgroups, you want
microsoft.public.win2000.cmdprompt.admin. Although it says "win2000,"
you can ask any Command Prompt questions there.
Also try on Usenet: alt.msdos.batch.nt
Note that there are two command-line programs that come with Windows
Vista: cmd.exe and command.exe. In almost every case you want to use
cmd.exe (it's the 32-bit version and more advanced).
