Hi,

We have a win2k network. We have recently upgraded our
laptops to windows XP pro.

Since doing this, when users loginto their netwotk
profile it takes upwards of 15 minutes to load the
profile. On a win2k machine it takes about 15 seconds! Is
this an issue with group policy in win2k or the settings
in XP?

Any help or ideas would be great!

Nic

Hi,

Make sure the XP clients are pointing to the internal DNS server for the
domain and not to an ISP DNS server.

Nic,

Are there any Userenv errors in the event logs? Also have you checked the
DNS configuration to make sure you are pointing to a DNS server that
contains the Domain SRV records?
