Anyone doing this? Since the last version of FP for Mac was 1.0 and that was
FP98 for the rest of us Wintel users, I was wondering if anyone was running
FP on a Mac this way.

FP2003 requires Windows 2000 or XP.

Oddly enough, I have a copy of VPC for Mac, but I don't have a Mac! By the
way, here's the product page which is a good starting point:
http://www.microsoft.com/mac/products/virtualpc/

I believe the only operating systems you can run under VPC 6.1 are Win XP
and 2000. If you have a G5, the current release of VPC for Mac won't work
at all. You can find details here:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=827904&product=vpcmac

Assuming you've got a beefy system with lots of resources, I can't think of
why this _wouldn't_ work, but there's no way I can vouch for it. You might
consider checking the microsoft.public.mac.virtualpc newsgroup. They may
have more experience with running Office applications in this environment.

Good luck, and let us know what you find out.

I looked at the mac.vpc group and someone has just posted a question about
this very topic. No replies yet, but keep an eye out for "Visual Studio
6/net and FrontPage 2000/3".

That is fine. FP2003 only runs on XP or 2K, so that is no big deal.

That could be a showstopper.

--Assuming you've got a beefy system with lots of resources,--

But not beefed up with the latest CPU . . .

Thanks for the tip. I am watching that thread now. I asked here because I
wouldn't know a G5 from a J5 and I didn't want to embarrass myself.

This is for someone else, not me.
