I have several forums online that I frequent on a regular basis. Is there
any freeware out there that will download the posts like a newsreader does
so that I can read them later at my convenience? I hate having to spend so
much time online just to read these messages.

Thanks guys.

Just save the messages, in whatever form is convenient for you. If you
want to comment: write your comments offline, and then cut and paste
them into messages.

Many newsreaders will allow you to mark message headers for downloading
where you can read them later. I see you use OE and as a recent
convert from OE I use Xananews where the learning curve isn't as steep
as some of the other ones. http://www.wilsonc.demon.co.uk/delphi.htm

If you have been using OE for some time you will be hard pressed to get
some of its features which are very convenient, such as the Watched
conversation or customizable toolbar.

Don't know that any program can do this, but it is a good idea. A lot of
discussion traffic has moved to browser-based message boards. It is a pain
to have to be online to browse through them all. You see the same bulletin
board software (e.g. phpBB) being used at many different sites, so that
would ease the creation of such a program. Or perhaps Google could work
some magic.

Some forums have RSS feeds. If the forums you use have RSS feeds than any
of a number of feedreaders, news aggregators, etc will do this for you.

I use Firefox with Sage.
