When i install some applications like winamp in my XPE machine, some
system files will be overwrite with the old version, like msvctr.dll
etc.It will cause blue screen happenning when the computer reboot.

In the xp,there is SFC who protects system file .I have include
the sfc.dll
in my XPE image. But it is seem not effactive.

How can i over the dll hell?

Thanks

You can preinstall things from TD. Componentize applications and make TD
preinstall them.
For working images use DUA for updates, and EWF for protecting your OS
partition.

XPe is not intended for end users to install their applications so MS
probably thought that this feature is not important.
