Does she connect or not?

Hi, is there a way to find out if a certain IP address is connected to
the internet? It's some sort of spying, I know but it's about a woman
who claims she doesn't answer my emails because she doesn't connect to
the internet, while I think she just doesn't want to answer. I know the
"good" way is to either confront her or just forget about her but I
need to have the evidence before "aha, I know you got on the net last
night so you have indeed read my email but didn't reply, why?"... that
sort of thing... so is there a way (program, spyware) to find out?

Go to the DOS prompt and ping her?

Just the fact that someone is online does not mean he or she reads your
e-mail.
there would be even a chance she will acuse you of spying or herassing her.

A better option is to get a free (well, you have to register for obvious
resons) email certificate,
for example Thawte (http://www.thawte.com/) After you install a certificate,
and ask vor a return receipt (while digitally signing the e-mail) you are
informed of delivery of the mail, en in most cases also of the being read
status.

You hit the nail on the head when you said "...just forget about her."
I mean, this is classic Miss Manners stuff. Assuming she's not severely
developmentally challenged, she could read and/or reply to you if she
wanted. She doesn't.

From your message, I'm assuming you already have an ip that you think
she uses. If that's the case, using the programs "ping," or "tracert"
is a good start.

But, seriously dude, drop it.

Are you slow ? or what ? ...... the lady thinks you are a plonker, and
with a spy-on-you attitude like yours I guess she is one SMART lady.
