I loaded Framework and IIS on my XP Professional with SP2 Update PC at one
time. I did not load these items after a reformat and XP reload. I am
currently running Office XP Professional with all updates.

Do any of the Office XP Professional applications require Framework 1.1 or
IIS to run properly? I also have the XP Professional PC connected to a XP
Home PC updated with SP2 that shares a dial up internet connection thru ICS
on the XP Pro PC.

Thanks! I was not sure. I'm actually not sure what the purpose of
Framework is or if any applications use it. I would hope that if an
application needed it, it would prompt for you to install it.

The Framework is used by any code that is written in .NET. It comes with
Windows XP and is also installed by Office 2003 for use with the Sharepoint
tools. There are different versions and if an application requires a later
version than you have installed it should either install it or ask you to go
to an MS Web site where you can install it. It runs about 20MB in size.
