Does not Recognize CD

Switched from Windows 2000 to XP Home Edition. Now the MS Works CD is not
recognized by either CD drive. Other CD's come up in either drive with no
problem, and this CD comes up on 3 other machines, so it's not the disk.
What's the problem and how to fix?

What does "not recognized"mean? What happens when you insert it?

If it doesn't open automatically, open My Computer, navigate to it, and
start the instation manuaully by double-clicking the installation file
(probably setup.exe, although I'm not sure).
 
It does not see the CD at all. Can't get to the CD using Windows
Explorer.(My Computer)
Says "Insert CD".
