Does .Net still work with, and allow you to create, USERCONTROLS???

Having just completed creating my first UserControl in VB6, it has
(foolishly) just occurred to me to ask whether UserControls are still
used in the .Net world.

In other words, have I just created a control, and learned a new facet
of programming, that will not be applicable when I transition to .Net?

User controls exist in .NET, I would say if anything that they are more
prevalent.
