Does anyone know what this driver is for?

mrxsmb.sys

it seems to be the cause (?) of my blue screen of death
repeatedly happening.
Any help would be appreciated
 
Also known as the Workstation Service.

If its boned... you are in trouble. Shouldnt blue screen you, though. Just
handles all the marshalling of network I/O for your computer...

try a repair installation, that will likely save it. Or, boot into safe
mode, and re-apply your last service pack.
