Has anyone here had problems using programs under say a
childrens
profile that they limited to just "user" level with no
rights to
install programs?
I have MY profile set with admin rights to install
programs, but my
kids don't have the same rights. When trying to run a few
of these
programs installed in my profile but run in theirs, there
are various
errors that pop up and I am almost 100% sure it is the
admin right
thing (the programs work under my profile) Some programs
websites have
fixes, some don't. It is a pain in the a** and almost not
worth the
effort, but it does save on headaches from the kids
messing with
important files. Any helpful info appreciated.
BTW, I install all programs under MY profile with admin
rights, NOT
the Administrator mode. Don't know if that makes a
difference, but
from what I understand, Administrator mode cannot be
reached in XP
Home UNLESS you reboot into safe mode. Another pain in
the a**.
