Hey! I need an older than 8.0.10 version of vuescan for windows. the
latest one gives worse results than the older ones + the new one
crushes a lot. I have no idea why it is that way. but i really need
like a 8.0.1 or 9 whatever.
my email: (e-mail address removed)
thanks a lot

Hello,

I posted 12 times version 8.0.9 at:

alt.binaries.test

about two days ago: Giganews still has all of it.

I had a problem with 8.0.10 too, although different it also made
that release unusable with my scanner. What was bad is that I deleted
previous version's setup program. Some kind soul sent me two older
version setup files, 8.0.9 and 8.0.8. I have put them here for other
folks who might have problems with 8.0.10:

http://www.stanford.edu/~salnikov/vuesca808.exe
http://www.stanford.edu/~salnikov/vuesca809.exe

Note this is in no way official and will be removed as soon as Ed
is back from vacation and we get a new working version at his site
(or may be even sooner, if there is any concern from anybody about
me "distributing" those files.)

Cheers,
Andy.

What's curious is that Ed used to have an archive on his site
with older versions one could revert to if needed. I don't see
it there any longer. I wonder why it disappeared.
