This morning two of of my colleagues discovered that ALL of their saved
documents have disappeared after turned on their computers. The "my
documents" folder is completely empty. All was fine yesterday. I
followed ALL of the advice on a similar topic to try to remedy this
problem and to no avail. I cannot find their documents anywhere. The
one thing I know is that they did not delete them.

Could this be a virus? Anybody any clues as to what has happened?
HELP!!

It could be a virus.

A few things I would try:

- As Administrator, search the hard drive or network for files created
on the day in question. Maybe they were moved, or renamed, or thrown in
the wrong account, as previously suggested.

- Use an Undelete or Restorer program to find and restore the files.
(Look for these words in a Google search.)

I have searched the c drive on one of the computers. I did a lengthy
search in documents and settings and also looked in the c drive.

I will take another go at it tomorrow. This is the most perplexing
thing I have ever seen.

Does anyone know of anyone else or maybe a company where this is also
occurring?
