I have recently upgrade from Word 2000 to Word 2003. As anyone noticed that Word 2003 no longer has the option of "viewing files by date order". I find this really annoying as some of my folders have a lot of word documents in them and if I want to access one that has been recently opened I have to go right through the folder to find the name rather than find the file by date order.

Hi, Melinda. In Word, click on File | Open | View: Details, then right-click on one of the column headings (e.g., Name, Size, Type), and choose the Details that you want to see... one of the choices is "Date Modified".

Alternatively, if you are not in Details view, right-click anywhere in an
empty area of the dialog window and choose Arrange Icons | By Date.

That's a truly neat trick that I was unaware of. Now I'll have to think
about whether I'd like to substitute the CreateDate for "Type," which I
don't need because I have file extensions displayed.

Hi, Suzanne. I'm glad something good came from this otherwise pointless waste of perfectly good bandwidth in trying to communicate with a DSO.
