documents and settings\local settings\temp - delete ok?

Sorry for what may be an obvious question...

Are the files under the following dir ever used or can I
blow them away?

administrator\documents and settings\local settings\temp

Leave it to MS to actually keep critical data, settings in
a temp dir.

No, but \Documents And Settings\WhatEver\Local Settings\Temp is ok to clear.

You should not do this while programs run on your desktop. Explorer is OK,
but most others use that folder. Do not be surprised if programs malfunction
if you empty it while they run.
