"Document locked for Edit"

My Microsoft Word 2000's keyboard isn't working and
whenever i press one of the keys, a message comes up on
the bottom lefthand corner saying "Document Locked for
Edit" How do i unlock it in this case, what should i do?
Thnak You for your assitance.
 
Is the document protected for forms?
